Our Team

The vision for CCU emerged out of weekly messages on the Cross of Christ, this lead to devoted disciples encouraging the preacher to plant a Church here in San Diego.  As people gathered to listen to the Word being preached, it grew into a grassroots ministry as individuals in different cities across the United States voiced that they wanted to be a part of what God was sparking, like a small amber that turned into a great fire.  Ater much prayer and counsel, on December 22, 2020 in the midst of a pandemic, it was decided that a new church planting and grassroots ministry would take root. The mission was to simply, to plant a church of commited disciples of Jesus in San Diego that would be a home to all ages and represent the diversity of our beautiful city.

Our lead evangelist, Jermaine Peacock, has been tested by fire and has been in the minsitry for 24 years. He has fire in his bones to preach the Word of God and has a heart to build bridges that lead to eternal life for the lost world and build bridges of unity with any and all Christians that have obeyed the gospel message of Jesus Christ.
